I proudly identify as a Black man whose lived experiences shape the way I move through the world and connect with others. As a father of two beautiful girls, I carry both the joy and responsibility of modeling love, resilience, and integrity every day. My identity as a Black male social worker reflects both a commitment to breaking barriers in a field where our voices are underrepresented and to creating spaces of belonging for those who come after me. These identities ground me, guide my work, and fuel my dedication to community, family, and future generations.
My professional interests center on advancing equity and wellness through culturally responsive clinical practice, school-based interventions, and community-driven solutions. I am deeply committed to supporting students navigating complex transitions—particularly those returning from juvenile justice placement or facing barriers to education. I also invest in building pathways for emerging social workers through mentorship, training, and licensure support to strengthen and diversify the field. At the heart of my work is the belief that wellness, relationships, and opportunity must go hand-in-hand to create lasting change.
Wellness Over Everything (WOE) is a newly formed nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to free, culturally responsive mental health services in Philadelphia schools. Our mission is to support students, families, and educators while simultaneously building a workforce pipeline that invests in emerging clinicians through paid internships, mentorship, and licensure supervision. WOE was founded on the belief that wellness must be prioritized at every level: individual, school, and community, and that representation matters in healing spaces. By combining direct service with workforce development, we aim to create lasting impact that strengthens both communities and the social work profession.
