Ph.D. - February 1
Requires Master's degree.Admission decisions are sent by March 30. If admitted, a reply is required within 2 weeks of notification.

PLEASE NOTE: To qualify for the Five College Circle of Scholars (5CCS), applicants must be completing (or have completed) an undergraduate degree at Smith College, Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke College, Amherst College, or University of Massachusetts Amherst.
If accepted during Early Admission, your packet will include your letter of acceptance, financial aid award, and the geography of your field assignment. Early applicants are given preference in the geography of their field placement, as well as preference in financial aid and other awards. This provides you with the most significant pieces of information needed to make an enrollment decision. Military applicants should apply for Early Admission to be considered for military-related scholarships.
Regular Admission decision letters are sent on a rolling basis within similar time-frames as other social work schools which allows you to compare admission offers. However, you will not learn of the geography of your internship assignment until after you have chosen to enroll. In addition, notification of financial aid is not included with your admission decision and may not be available before you need to make an enrollment decision. We work with Student Financial Services to provide this information promptly, but it cannot be guaranteed, given that decisions are sent on a rolling basis.
Transfer and Advanced Standing applicants may choose either deadline for consideration.
